Practice Overview
Hannah became a tenant in our family team in September 2021. She is currently accepting instructions in public and private law children matters and domestic abuse injunction applications. Hannah has a calm and reassuring manner when advising and representing clients. She works to ensure her clients feel supported and at ease throughout their case.
Public Child Law
Hannah has experience representing local authorities, parents and children’s guardians at all stages of public law proceedings, from emergency applications to final hearings. Hannah has dealt with issues such as allegations of sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance misuse, and complex mental health needs. She regularly accepts instructions to appear in the Family Drugs and Alcohol Court. Hannah has appeared in the High Court as sole counsel and as junior counsel led by other members of chambers.
Hannah has worked in-house for local authorities, giving her a unique insight into the public law process. She also regularly completes drafting work.
Hannah has experience of public and private law cases involving international elements, such as parties who live outside of the jurisdiction. She has also successfully represented parties in applications for Deprivation of Liberty and High Court injunction.
Private Child Law
Hannah represents parties at all stages of private law including contested final hearings. Hannah is confident in being able to negotiate favourable agreements on behalf of her clients when required. She is able to address difficult, emotional issues in a sensitive and pragmatic way. Hannah has acted for the children’s guardian in private proceedings.
